Gynecology and Obstetrics

The Obstetrics and Gynecology department in our hospital provides services in various fields from general diagnosis and treatment to menopause and osteoporosis, birth control management, follow-up of risky and normal pregnancies, diagnosis and treatment of gynecological cancers, and IVF treatment.

The department looks into gynecological infections, inguinal pain, menstrual irregularity and offers ultrasound examination for early detection of gynecologic cancers, PAP-smear test, colposcopy and routine gynecology examinations. One of the most important and sensitive periods in women’s life is the pregnancy. In our hospital, we work with the pregnancy policlinics to be there for the expectant mothers and we endeavor to ensure that both the mothers and their newborn babies are healthy upon completion of this process.

As a standard, all mothers are monitored with ultrasound devices from the starting week of pregnancy until delivery. Routine tests for diagnosis include dual tests, fetal nuchal translucency scans, triple test, blood sugar screening tests, cervical length measurement, and fetal monitorization. Depending on the progress of pregnancy, delivery is successfully performed via normal, caesarean or epidural anesthesia options.

In the presence of diseases that may be classified as high-risk pregnancies and may cause complications during pregnancy, the follow-ups are performed by the experienced Obstetrics and Gynecology staff with the support of other branches. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit physicians and nurses join the deliveries with their conscious staff, ready to intervene at any time for the babies who may have health problems during the deliveries.

In the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the necessary treatments are carried out in order to ensure that the patients get through their menopause healthily and comfortably. The doctors of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology works in close cooperation with the other medical disciplines regarding prevention of menopause-related osteoporosis, and minimization of the damage caused to patients.

In additional to traditional female and male infertility, we offer vaccination treatment within the scope of assisted reproductive techniques.
